CEO PASDEC Inaugurates Black Granite Mechanized Quarry In Mansehra
With the technical patronage of Pakistan Stone Development Company (PASDEC), Ministry of Industries and Production, Government of Pakistan, another mechanized quarry of a valuable and beautiful stone, Black Granite, in District Mansehra has been launched by M/s. Abbasi Mining (Granite). The Quarry was inaugurated by Chief Executive Officer PASDEC, Mr. Zahid Maqsood Sheikh in a formal inauguration ceremony organized by Mr. Attaullah Abbasi, Managing Director, Abbsi Minning (Granite).
Mr. Zahid Maqsood Sheikh, CEO PASDEC, prayed for the success of the project. He expressed confidence that the project will contribute to the achievement of objectives of PASDEC in developing the Marble & Granite (M&G) Sector of Pakistan. He also hoped that the project will contribute to the national economy when in full production. While speaking on the occasion Mr. Zahid Maqsood Sheikh said that PASDEC has deployed latest state-of-the-art Quarry machinery on the project. He said that the Heavy Earthmoving Machinery working on the project is not available elsewhere in the country and thus the machines are capable of producing yield in huge quantity in lesser time than other machines available in the market.
Mr. Zahid Maqsood Sheikh added that by introducing mechanized quarrying technology, PASDEC is committed to transforming the quarries, presently using conventional methods of blasting for extraction, into latest mechanized quarries through modern machinery. He said that machinery of PASDEC is available on rental basis to all quarry owners in the Sector who wish to enter into the family of mechanized quarries. Thereby, they will reduce the wastage of valuable stone and increase their profits.
Mr. Attaullah Abbasi, Managing Director Abbasi Mining (Granite), expressed his gratitude to CEO PASDEC for inauguration of his quarry situated in the far-flung area of Namal Katta (Oghi) District Mansehra. He lauded the efforts of PASDEC in facilitating quarry owners. He said that mechanization of his quarry was not possible without the technical support of PASDEC and deployment of the modern machinery by PASDEC established under the patronage of Ministry Industries and Production, Government of Pakistan. Mr. Abbasi said that he plans to launch future joint venture projects with PASDEC also.
